Obituary of Harold W. Hamilton
Resident of Bridgeport
Harold Whiting Hamilton, age 82, passed away at St. Vincent Medical Center on Saturday, February 25, 2006. Born in Bridgeport, CT on February 10, 1924, he was the son of the late Harold and Lillian Whiting Hamilton and was a U. S. Navy World War II veteran. He was retired from Dolan Steel, Moore Special Tool and the Bridgeport Board of Education. Harold was on the board of directors of St. Marks Day Care Center, an active member of Golden Hill United Methodist Church and a member of the Connecticut Chapter of Guardsmen. He was also a volunteer for United Cerebral Palsy of Southern Connecticut for 15 years. He was pre-deceased by his wife Marjorie Collins Hamilton and a brother Richard Hamilton. Survivors include two daughters, Leslie Hamilton and her husband Danny, Lisa Woods and her husband, Strick, two grandchildren Vanessa and Collin Woods, two sisters, Charlotte Esdaile and her husband Melvin and Alma Griffin and her husband Leslie, a sister in-law Muriel McCoy and several nephews, nieces and cousins. Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, March 4, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in Golden Hill United Methodist Church, Golden Hill St., Bridgeport. Interment will follow at Mountain Grove Cemetery of Easton. Family and friends may call on Friday from 5:00-8:00 pm at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
