Obituary of Maria E. Wilm

Maria E. Post Wilm, age 86, of Bridgeport, beloved wife of the late Robert L. Wilm, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2016 at Lord Chamberlain in Stratford. Born in Rheine, Germany on October 18, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Bernard and Clara Reckenfelderbaumer Post. Maria had been employed by Conco Medical as a quality control manager before her retirement with over 22 years of dedicated service. She had enjoyed being a volunteer at St. Vincent's Medical Center and also was an active member of the Germania Schwaben Club for many years. Maria practiced her faith as a parishioner at Our Lady of Grace Church in Stratford. Survivors include a son, Thomas Wilm and his wife Abby of Shelton, a daughter, Carol Wilm of New London, her brother, Bernard Post and his wife Katie of Bridgeport and four cherished grandchildren, Christina Wilm, Nicole Wilm, Jeremy Marrero, and Jessica Wilm. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Prayer services will be held on Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends can greet the family on Tuesday from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
