Hi Mom, it's me, Connie. Just checking to see how you are doing today. The weather isn't great, rainy and chilly. Spring is just around the corner. Looking forward to the warmth of the sun then I can garden. Its been about two weeks that you left us and I miss you more than ever. Mom, I know I have to heal and get on with my life, because that is what you would want me to, however we were together for so long I expected you to be with me always. The last three months of your life was not living for you. We all knew you were not happy what was going on with your health. We didn't like seeing you fail, however, I tried to realize you were 98 yeas old and lived a great life and didn't want to live the rest of your life in a nursing home. I wish I could have returned you to your home, however, you needed a lot of personal care twenty four seven. I am struggling with many things that happened toward the end, however, I have to come to grip with my feelings. I just have to know that you are happy and well now so I can find peace within myself. I will always love you and I miss you terribly, Mom. I will call you again, Bye for now.

Tommy and Ann, Connie and Don and your families - please accept our deepest sympathy on the death of Aunt Grace. She was always a wonderful and cheerful person whenever we saw her and we regret her passing, though we're sure she had a very satisfying and happy life surrounded by her loved ones. ;Dearest cousins; I have so many wonderful memories of your Mom and my Mom together when Connie and I were just babies. They would walk together with our baby carriages and Mom and Grace spent many wonderful times . Your Mom, was always a very beautiful woman, impeccable and sweet and I loved her and know she is now with her daughter, husband and my Mom as well. The entire Gallo family was truly blessed to have had such a wonderful, giving, loving woman as Grace throughout their lives. Even more so, Grace was also truly blessed to have had such a loving, supportive family who took care of her special needs in her later years as her health continued to decline. Especially her daughter Connie and her husband Donald, who in Grace's later years, took her into their home, set up a separate apartment for Grace within their home, so that they could always be close and ready to serve her needs. WHAT A TRUE TESTAMENT OF LOVE !!! The beauty of Grace's giving spirit continues to live on thru this example of love, always being there to take care of your loved ones, which will also always set an example for her grandchildren, great grandchildren, etc., to follow. My deepest condolences to the entire extended Gallo family and may ALL the good memories that you have of Grace, always continue to fill the emptiness that you presently feel in your hearts.
