Obituary of Mayda M. Martinez

Mayda Molinet Martinez, age 92 of Trumbull, passed away peacefully at her home, where she resided with her daughter Cris, son in law Fred, two of her grandchildren, Michael Schneider (Norwalk CT) and Annemarie Schneider Palaya (Middletown, RI). She was the loving wife of the late Luis Martinez. Born on August 4, 1924, in Majagua, Cuba, she was a daughter of the late Rodolfo Molinet and Maria Dolores Machin. Mayda was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great, great grandmother and aunt. She dedicated herself to the care of her entire family. The dedication and love is something that will reflect within her entire family and she will be deeply missed by all who loved her. Survivors include her loving children, Mariacristina Bonilla and her husband Fred of Trumbull CT, Rodolfo Molinet of Huston, TX, Enrique Garcia and Filipa of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Mario Luis Martinez and his wife Barbara of North Pole, AK and Ciro Luis Martinez and his wife Donna of Sound Beach, NY, 13 Grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces and nephews that were like her own children Wilfred, Margie, Rudy, Carlos and Reggie. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Rodolfo Molinet (Hito) and a sister, Lucrecia Garcia (Cuca). A Memorial service celebrating Mayda's life will take place on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 10:15 a.m. in Maple Grove Cemetery, 127-15 Kew Gardens Road, Kew Gardens, New York, 11415. Interment will follow the service in Maple Grove Cemetery.
