Obituary of Jeanne C. Knecht

Jeanne C. Knecht, age 83, of Trumbull, peacefully passed away at Bridgeport Hospital on December 26, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Ernest A. Knecht. Born in New Haven on September 11, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Elsie Saxton Peck.

She was a registered nurse working for Yale New Haven Hospital for many years before her retirement. Above all else, she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Ernest Knecht, her loving children and their spouses, Ellen and Paul Litwinovich, Sharon and Scott Zimmerman, Laura and Brian Logan, Stephen and Susan Knecht, Neil and Susan Knecht and Valerie Knecht, ten cherished grandchildren, six adored great grandchildren, her sister, Shirley Romano, her sisters in law, Betty Peck, Faye Hickey, Jane Knecht, Jessie Knecht, Shirley Knecht and her brother in law and sister in law, David and Ethel Knecht, plus many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Robert Hickey, Norman (Bud) Peck and Charlotte Robinson.

Church Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2016 at the Trumbull Congregational Church, 3115 Reservoir Ave. Trumbull.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
