Obituary of Kenneth E. Horsey
Kenneth E. Horsey, age 85, of Trumbull, beloved husband of the late Jean Demchak Horsey, died Saturday, May 15, 2004 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in the Black Rock section of Bridgeport, he was a resident of Trumbull since 1957. He was the graduate of Bassik High School and attended the University of Bridgeport and Bridgeport Engineering Institute. Mr. Horsey was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of WWII . Mr. Horsey had been employed at Chance Vought Aircraft and the U.S. Air Force Auditor General Branch Chief in the Connecticut area. At Sikorsky Aircraft, he worked as a Program Manager, a Vice President during development of the famous UH-60 Blackhawk, and was a past Director of European Marketing; and was a member of the Quarter Century Club. He was a member of the Corinthian Lodge No. 104 Masonic Order , the Army Aviation Association of America, the Valley of Bridgeport Scottish Rite 32nd Degree Mason, Pyramid Temple AAONMS Shriners, and the Igor Sikorsky Memorial Foundation. He was a Past Co-President, with his wife Jean, of the Nichols Improvement Association; a past officer of the Federal Government Accountants Assoc. Connecticut Chapter; of the Air Force Association Connecticut Chapter; of American Helicopter Society; and past member of the Navy League, Army of the U.S. of America Assoc., and the Senior Core of Retired Executives.
Survivors include two devoted daughters, Ellen Reinhard of Kingston, NY and Pamela Magoon of Fairfield, a grandson, Brian Palmer, his sister in law, Anne Demchak of Bridgeport , and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Albert Horsey.
Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, May 18, 2004 at 10 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11 a.m. in Trinity Episcopal Church, Nichols. Interment with full military honors will follow in Nichols Village Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
