Obituary of Irvin C. Pemberton

Irvin C. Pemberton, Sr., 63, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Stephanie Eccles Pemberton, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 27, 2017. He was born on October 16, 1953 in Trinidad & Tobago to the late Gerald and Ivy Pemberton. Irvin was a wonderful husband and father, U.S. Navy Veteran and a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. Irvin is survived by his beloved wife Stephanie, and children, Irvin Charles Pemberton, Jr., and his wife Christine, Charlene Pemberton Sumo and her husband Julian and Tichina Pemberton, five grandchildren, Makayla, Cristian, Kaylin, James and Aiden, two brothers, Franklin and David Pemberton, three sisters, Sybil Pemberton George, Pearl Clemmons and Enid Pemberton- Francios, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters-in-law, friends, and relatives. He was predeceased by three sisters, Betty, Petra-Myrtle and Audrey and one brother, Noel. Funeral services will take place on Sunday, September 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Brooklawn Seventh-day Adventist Church, 250 Brooklawn Ave., Bridgeport. Interment with military honors will follow in Spring Grove Cemetery, Darien. There will be no calling hours.
