Born on December 5, 1938 in Azores, Portugal, he was a son of the late Manual and Maria Cabral. Carlos immigrated to the United States in 1968, settling in Bridgeport before moving to Stratford. He was a retired laborer for Burns Construction with over 30 years of dedicated service.

He was active on many committees and involved in the Curculio prayer group as well assisting on the alter during Mass and funerals; he volunteered at St. Vincent's Medical Center, providing communion to patients. Carlos enjoyed gardening and tending to his yard and enjoyed watching his soccer team, Sporting CP.

A true gentleman, Carlos was a loving and dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He treasured time with his family, especially his grandchildren. The unconditional love and care he gave will always live on in the hearts of all.

In addition to his beloved wife of 53 years, Juvenalia, survivors include his two loving children, a daughter, Debia Cabral and a son, Carlos A.
