Obituary of Bertha M. Baron

Bertha M. Labell Baron, age 94, of Bridgeport, a homemaker, died Monday, May 17, 2004 at her residence surrounded by her family. Born in Bridgeport on March 13, 1910, she was a daughter of the late Dave and Lena Raymond Labell. Mrs. Baron was an avid knitter and crocheter and enjoyed playing Bingo. She was the wife of the late Henry J. Baron. Survivors include two sons, Roger Baron and his wife, Theresa of Monroe and Frank Baron of Guthrie, Oklahoma, two daughters, Theresa Carpenter of Bridgeport and Janette Soracco and her husband, Louis of Fairfield, a sister, Violet Williams of Milford, as well as 17 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Thursday, May 20, 2004 at 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends and relatives may call on Thursday morning from 9 a.m. until the time of service.
