To the Knecht children- I’m sorry to read about your dad and your loss. I was away and just catching up to the news or I would have I would’ve been up to the service. You were such ‘class’ and wonderful students in school- I’m sure it had much to do with your parents influence. I remember what a pleasure it was to have you in class. I pray you find peace and the comfort thru your family and friends. God Bless.

TO ellen,sharon,laura,stephen,neil,valerie.
we will all miss the big smile!the hearty hand shake with his hand on your shoulder, and the infectious baratone belly laugh! that said uncle erns here!
The first memory I have of my uncle ern was when my dad was in the hospital for a back operation 1964 and in those days kids were not allowed to go upstairs to where the patients were so my mom had to leave my brother and I at the nurses station.uncle ern came in and sat with us and talked to us until the nurse walked away then he had us get on the elevator and took us upstairs to see my dad.that was a special treat by uncle ern!
my second memory was being picked up at church I think it was after choir practice and taken to briarwoods for a hamburger.first time out for a hamburger.
in his green 63 chevy car.
my third best memory was he would plow snow from the barn where we had our cows to our house when there was a large amount of snow with his beaver tractor, so we could bring water to the cows with out having to shovel or plow the way to the barn.
always so proud of his family!bragging about how proud he was of all of them and there accomplishments on his many trips to the downstairs at the shop.
often regailing us with his stories of his treasured trip to Germany and his many skills as a master carpenter, and the stories of trimming round windows.
also the time spent being the eyes and ears of my dad during the consruction of the car wash when my dad couldn't walk around there.we were then and still are very greatful for his help.
HE WILL BE SORELY MISSED BY ALL OF US WHO SO ENJOYED HIS MANY VISITS AND INTERSETING CONVERSATION!ALWAYS WALKED AWAY LEARNING SOMETHING NEW!
May god bless and keep all of you through this hard time!
