Obituary of Joy M. Fitzpatrick

Joy M. Homa Fitzpatrick, age 57, beloved wife of Brian Fitzpatrick of Stratford, passed away on Monday, February 26, 2018 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on April 8, 1960, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Barbara Tantimonico Homa. Joy was a graduate of Central High School and worked for many years as an Interior Designer at Wayside Furniture. She later started at Chase Bank as a successful Loan Officer in the Greenwich area. She was an avid antique collector and enjoyed gardening, the beach, cooking, baking and spending time with her girls. She loved life and had a perpetual smile; she will be missed by all who knew her. In addition to her beloved husband, Brian of 33 years, survivors include her loving daughters, Courtney and Kelly Fitzpatrick both of Jersey City, NJ, sisters, Barbara Jo Stella of Stratford and Mary Homa of FL as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Mark Church, 500 Wigwam Lane, Stratford, on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Oak Lawn Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
