Obituary of Rosaria V. Briganti
Rosaria V. Amico Briganti, age 78, of Monroe passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at her home. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank V. Briganti. Born in Pittston, PA on May 7, 1939 she was the daughter of the late Alfonso Amico and Helen Parrino Amico. Mrs. Briganti had worked most recently as a legal administrator before her retirement with many years of dedicated service in her field. Rosaria was raised in Stamford, where she attended Mother of God Academy High School. She then attended the Merrill Business School and eventually earned her Associate's Degree from Albertus Magnus College. She met and fell in love with her husband Frank while they worked together at American Machine and Foundry. He was the love of her life and they later married in 1964 and were married for over 44 years. Her faith was extremely important to her and she was a very active parishioner at Christ the King Church in Trumbull. She found great enjoyment in spending time with family and friends, traveling and experiencing new adventures, but her children and family were her entire world. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was always thinking of others and putting them first. She never forgot to celebrate a birthday or anniversary of family and friends and reached out to each of them to make them feel special. She enjoyed gatherings and social events, spending time in her various group activities and at her second home in Florida. She lit up a room wherever she was and was a warm and loving caregiver to all.
Survivors include her loving children, Maria F. Briganti and her fiance Daniel Magnanimo of Stamford and Frank C. Briganti and his wife Joann Bernardo Briganti of Oxford, her cherished granddaughter, Allison Margo Briganti as well as a large extended family of brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. directly in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave., Trumbull. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Dr., Wallingford, CT 06492.
