Obituary of Michael D. Roberto

Michael D. Roberto, age 92, of Boynton Beach, FL and formerly of Bridgeport passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, May 21, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Lorraine Lassen Roberto. Born in Bridgeport on July 10, 1925 he was a son of the late Joseph and Rose Marsella Roberto.

Mr. Roberto was a proud U.S. Army Veteran having served honorably during World War II. He was later employed by Bullard Company, where he worked as a machinist before his retirement with many years of dedicated service. Michael was a true history buff and found great enjoyment watching the history channel where he acquired a vast wealth of knowledge. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his beloved wife Lorraine, other survivors include his children, Joseph Roberto and his wife Brenda of Royal Palm, FL and Rosemary Tuozzoli of Bridgeport, his step daughter, Pam Boynton and her husband Jim of Boynton Beach, FL, his cherished grandchildren, Monica, Lisa and Michael Roberto, Kim Tuozzoli, Todd Tuozzoli and his wife Julie, his step grandchildren, Suzie and Lisa Boynton, his great grandchildren, Evan, Ally and Emma Tuozzoli, Joseph and Jocelyn Roberto and Devin and Alyse, his great great grandchildren, Hailey and Lucas, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son-in-law, Daniel Tuozzoli and brothers, Fred and Joseph Roberto and his sister, Laura Szilagyi.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with full military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
