Obituary of Russell J. Patronelli

Russell J. Patronelli, age 83, beloved husband of Jo-Ann Sugrue Patronelli of Trumbull, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018 at his home with his loving wife by his side. Born in Bridgeport on August 16, 1935, he was a son of the late Joseph and Philomena DiLorenzo Patronelli, Sr. and was a longtime resident of Trumbull. After graduating from Central High School in Bridgeport, Russell served in the United States Army and was stationed in France. He later started Patronelli Grounds Maintenance and was a commercial landscaper for over 35 years before his retirement. He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed reading, going to the theatre and travelling.

In addition to his loving wife Jo-Ann of 47 years, survivors include a son, Russell Patronelli, Jr. of Sturgis, MI a daughter, Valerie Hermansen of Simi Valley, CA, a brother, Joseph Patronelli, Jr of Bridgeport a grandson, Kyle Hermansen of CA, a sister-in-law, Noel Gillingham and her husband Jim of Blackstone, MA and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a sister-in-law, Alice Patronelli.

The family would like to thank Thierry Beauregard and Iris Simon of the hospice program for all the care and compassion they gave during their time with Russell.

A funeral service will take place on Monday, September 10, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment with full miliary honors will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may greet the family on Sunday from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m.
