Obituary of Umberto Lisi

Umberto Lisi, age 85, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Elisa Pernaselci Lisi, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 17, 2019 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 29, 1933 in Frosinone, Italy he was a son of the late Domenico and Saturnina Querqui Lisi. Before his retirement, Umberto was a master craftsman, cabinet maker and most recently employed by Domestic Kitchens of Fairfield.

Umberto enjoyed making wine, tending to his garden and watching soccer. But above all, he was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cared deeply for his family. The values he taught and the unconditional love he gave will always live on in their hearts.

In addition to his beloved wife Elisa of 63 years, survivors include three loving children, Paul Lisi and his wife Patricia of Monroe, Leonello Lisi and his wife Grace of Shelton, and Brunella Celini of Bridgeport; seven cherished grandchildren, Ryan Celini, David Celini and his wife Dianne, Brandon Celini, Robert Lisi and his wife Stephanie, Daniel Lisi, Michael and Victoria Lisi; a sister Carmela Lunghi of Italy, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 1:00 p.m. in St. Margaret's Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 4 – 7 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society and Diabetes Foundation.
