Obituary of James W. Mitchell

James W. Mitchell of Fairfield, CT, loved and cared for by his wife Carol Mitchell, passed away peacefully at Saint Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT on August 4, 2019 at the age of 76.

Born on November 25, 1942 in Brooklyn, NY, James (Jim) was the son of the late James and Ann Mitchell. He was a patent attorney for the United States Patent Office in Washington, DC and General Electric in Fairfield, CT where he later retired. In addition to his wife Carol, he is also survived by his sister Linda Mitchell, his extended family and dear friends. Jim was a fan of Formula One auto racing and enjoyed golfing, traveling and attending family gatherings.

Family and friends will be received Monday, August 12th from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home (419 White Plains Road, Trumbull) followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Saint Pius X Church (834 Brookside Drive, Fairfield). A Burial will follow at Saints Peter and Paul Cemetery in Bondsville, MA.
