Laura Campbell posted a condolence

Dear Fiore Family:
My name is Laura Campbell and I lived next door to "Leo and Yolanda" when I was a child on Black Rock Avenue in Fairfield before moving to FL in 1978. Leo and Yolanda were friends of my parents, Vinnie and Jean Campbell. I remember my dad and Leo having beers on the patio and Leo teaching us swear words in Italian. I remember Yolanda planting her veggies in her garden in the back of the house. Leo and Yolanda were the nicest people. I am sorry to hear of their passing. Sending my condolences.
Laura

Dear Nick, I am so sorry to hear the news of your father’s passing. He was the best. He cared, he gave, he knew the earth and soil and how to make things grow. I remember him carrying my son, Richard, on his shoulders walking around my property thirty six years ago, talking about what needed to be done. He helped me bury my old sheep, he talked about his childhood in Italy. It was a sign of spring when I saw him walking around the property, checking for drainage issues, seeing what made it through the winter and what did not. He pruned trees and shrubs with skill and artistry. I was so happy to meet up with him at Ganim’s. Fortunately, he remembered me. His memory will always be in my heart. With much love, Whitney Vose
