Obituary of Louis B. Kman
Louis B. Kman, age 81, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Angela (Angie) Marro Kman, died peacefully on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Pennsylvania on July 12, 1929, he was the son of the late Bernard and Stella Pijar Kman. A World War II veteran, Mr. Kman was part of the Army occupation of Germany and was a retired employee of the Bassick Co. with 40 years of service. Lou was a hardworking man who always held multiple jobs to provide for his family. His values and love of family will always be remembered.
In addition to his beloved wife of 58 years, Angie, survivors include two daughters, Gerilyn Durnin and her husband Kevin of Shelton and Meribeth Durnin and her husband Brian of Hamden, four grandchildren, Christine, Wendy, Benjamin and Jason as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and cousins.
He was pre-deceased by a sister, Antoinette Cheplick.
The family would like to thank DaVita Dialysis and Maefair Health Care Center for their professionalism and care during his time of need.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 8:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:30 a.m. in St. Peter Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
