Obituary of Kelly Anne Caulfield
Kelly Anne Caulfield, PA-C, age 35, of Shelton, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at the home where she lived with her fiancé. She was the daughter of Patrick J. Caulfield and Carolyn L. (Zdobinski) Caulfield of Trumbull, and fiancé of Nicholas Montini of Shelton. She was pre-deceased by her grandparents Patrick J. and Ernstine F. Caulfield of Hackensack, NJ, and Edmund and Dolores M. Zdobinski of Elizabeth, NJ, and her Aunt and Godmother, Denise C. Caulfield, of Hackensack, NJ.
Kelly graduated from: St. Theresa Grammar School in 2000; Trumbull High School in 2004, where she was a member of the National Honor Society and the World Language National Honor Society, earned the Van Duren Award for Excellence in English and was Captain of the Basketball Team; Providence College in 2008, where she received a B.S. in Biology, Cum Laude, and was a member of the Pre-Med Honor Society; and the University of Bridgeport Physician Assistant Institute in 2018, where she received an M.S., Summa Cum Laude, became a member of the Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society, the Pi Alpha Honor Society for Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Connecticut Academy of Physician Assistants, and was also a member of the University of Bridgeport Team that participated in the 2017 AAPA National Medical Challenge Bowl in Las Vegas, NV.
Following her graduation from the University of Bridgeport, Physician Assistant Institute, Kelly worked for DOCS Urgent Care, AFC Urgent Care and Bridgeport Family Medicine. She was a highly respected Physician Assistant and First Responder, who was also loved by her patients. Prior to becoming a Physician Assistant, Kelly worked as a Medical Assistant for Advanced Allergy, Immunology, and Asthma, P.C., and Farmington Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine.
Kelly was a beautiful and caring young woman who enjoyed: spending time with family and friends; sharing parenting duties with Nick for his two children, Alivia and Andrew; the beach; swimming; exercising; music; singing; shopping; sleeping; and playing with Nick's and her three cats, Jack, Bandit and Mittens.
In addition to her beloved parents, Kelly's survivors include her two loving sisters, Jeannette C. Caulfield and her fiancé, Kevin Routhier of Trumbull, and Karen M. Simpson and her husband Sean Simpson of Simsbury, and nephews Declan and Cullen Simpson, as well as her Aunts and Uncles: E. Frances Caulfield of Hackensack, NJ; Michael and Eileen Caulfield of Cranford, NJ; Marlene and David Hutchings of Bradenton, FL; Carolyn Caulfield of Clark, NJ; David Caulfield (her Godfather) of Hackensack, NJ; Roseanne Caulfield Keefe of Mystic, CT; David and Debbie Zdobinski of Rockaway Township, NJ; Edmund and Lucy Zdobinski of Parker, CO; Louise and Edmund Saunders of Long Valley, NJ; Dolores and Peter Bosco of Jackson, TN; Catherine and Joseph Silva of Eatontown, NJ; Susan Murray of Stuart, FL; and Mark Zdobinski of Rockaway, NJ; as well as many cousins.
Due to the concerns about social gatherings affecting us all at this time due to Covid-19, funeral and interment services will be held privately for the immediate family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, Trumbull.
