Obituary of Gloria J. Seperack

Gloria J. (Mainiero) Seperack, age 95 of Trumbull passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward "Sonny" Seperack. Born in Bridgeport on October 2, 1925 she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Lucia (Tornillo) Mainiero. Gloria graduated from Central High School in 1943 and later worked for various family businesses prior to her employment with City Trust Bank, where she served as an administrator for many years before her retirement. She was extremely proud of being inducted into the American Rosie The Riveter Asso. as a "Rosie" in 2019, for her work at Chance Vought who built the Corsair planes during World War II. Gloria has been honored to have her story published in the book, "Connecticut's Rosie the Riveters." She was an active member of both the Trumbull and St. Theresa Women's Clubs, as well as the Trumbull Senior Center, where she built many lasting friendships. She was a woman of great faith and a longtime devoted parishioner of St. Theresa Church, Trumbull. She enjoyed playing bingo at the VFW, however her greatest enjoyment was found in the time she spent surrounded by her family. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend of many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her loving children, Edward Seperack and his wife Mimi of Huntington and Lynn Weiss and her husband Charles of West Barnstable, MA, her cherished grandchildren, Ted Seperack, Jason Seperack and his wife Jaeri, Allison O'Connell and her husband Thomas, Jeanine Hogan and her husband Jeff and Eric Weiss and his wife Ashley, her adored great grandchildren, Dylan, Jameson, Melody, Lila and Isabelle, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Sonny of 56 years, she is also predeceased by her sisters, Josephine Segala, Lillian Warner, Evelyn Kaslow and her brother, Nicholas Mainiero.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull. Friends and extended family are invited face masks and social distancing will be required. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Calling hours will be held privately for the immediate family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Gloria's memory may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, Trumbull.
