Obituary of Fausto Testani
Fausto Testani, age 89, of Fairfield, beloved husband of Eugenia Viselli Testani, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 7, 2021 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on October 25, 1931 in Torrice, Province of Frosinone, Italy, he was a son of the late Electro and Antonia Cianfrani Testani.
Fausto came to the United States in 1947 to find a better life. A painting contractor by trade, he worked with Robert M. Malm Painting of Fairfield for many years. After understanding and working in the trade, he showed interest in experiencing a business for himself. He eventually took over the Malm Painting Co. and renamed it F. M. Testani Painting. Because of his hard work and expertise it reflected in many area buildings, schools and churches in Fairfield County. He was also a past President of the PDCA. Along with his son Mark the company grew as their own and continues to carry on his legacy.
He was a true gentleman, a very hard worker and was always there to lend a helping hand to any friend in need. He enjoyed cooking, gardening and vacationing with his family and was a member of the Circolo Sportivo Italian American Club.
Above everything he was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his family, especially his two cherished grandsons. The unconditional love he gave and values he taught will forever be in their hearts. He will be truly missed by all.
He was predeceased by his cherished son, Anthony Testani, nephew Bernard Testani, brothers, Sandy and Dominick Testani and a sister Luisa Vincenzi of Italy.
In addition to his beloved wife of 21 years, Eugenia, survivors include a son Mark Testani and his wife Elsa of Fairfield and his son Nico, a stepdaughter, Tina Cortina of Easton, and her son Justin as well as many nieces and nephews and relatives in Italy and Canada.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, 200 Executive Blvd., Suite 4B, Southington, CT 06489, www.alz.org/ct. Arrangements entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, Trumbull.
