Dear Millie,
I met you when I was 13 and thought you were the coolest mom I had ever met- Kent 100s and a Maserati!- who knew a Mom in Shelton could be so cool! Always stylish with beautiful jewelry and always on the go. From the beginning you welcomed me into your home and life and always had something nice to say to me. You made me feel like I was important to talk to- you always took the time to ask what was going on in my life- all our lives- although maybe thinking now as a Mom you were trying to get the dirt on what we were really up to in high school!
You cared for Tara and her friends. You would offer to take Tara and her friends to new places - often Westport. Throughout the years from Shelton to Monroe, you ALWAYS made me feel welcome- I remember when you had a house with a pool and we would all hang out with Tara, Tammy, Ritchie jr and Ashley- we had a great time chatting and you always had a good opinion on any topic! I enjoyed your fireyness and appreciated you never feared to speak your mind; a quality I strive for still as an adult.
You made me feel welcome around you and beautiful- sometimes difficult for a chubby, not so fashionable, anxious young girl. And I appreciate that more than you will ever know. I am sorry that I did not get to say goodbye in person but I know you can hear my words now and know what is in my heart. Thank you. You will be missed.
