Just heard about this today (5/11/21). Tragic. I have been friends with Steve ever since Madison Junior High. We had adventures and mis-adventures along the way as we grew up. Steve at Lake & Main was a staple to a generation in the Long Hill Community.
Although I moved south we would catch up over the phone, relive the old days, and laugh. I wish we had just one more call. A good man and a great friend- gone too soon. RIP Steve. My condolence to his mother, sons, and extended family.

My deepest condolences to his family. I met him a couple months ago at his gas station, when I would come in and talk to my good friend who works there, and right off the bat he was so friendly that he talked to you like you’ve known each other for years. His jokes were the best too. If I had any car problems, he would give me tips and advice on how to handle it, and I’m so grateful he did. He was a caring, friendly, and overall great man that will be missed deeply. Rest in peace.

My sincerest condolences to the Eszenyi family.
I've had the honor of calling Steve my friend since we were teenagers. We had a mutual love of cars and mechanics and spend many a summer night racing around town, seaside park or hanging at the Canteen with JJ. Steve was always smiling, always encouraging and always there for you, friend or not. He will be remembered and missed always. Rest in peace my friend.
