Obituary of Matthew Jose Duarte

Matthew J. Duarte, age 39 a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, CT entered into eternal rest at St. Vincent's Medical Center on Nov 1, 2021 surrounded by his wife Jeneva Duarte and father Peter Duarte. He was the beloved son of the late Patricia Livramento, devoted father to Matthew Duarte II, and brother to Michael Young and Tanya Peeples.

Matthew impacted everyone who crossed his path in his short 39 years of life. He was a bright light and warm embrace. He took great pleasure in helping others and being there for those in need. He was an extremely talented hard-worker. Matt was passionate about helping young athletes. He touched the lives of so many on the baseball fields and basketball courts. His ultimate and greatest joy came from being a father. He dedicated his life to his son.

Matt also leaves behind nieces and nephews who adored their Uncle Matt. A host of family friends and colleagues. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.

A walk-through visitation will take place on Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 11:00 a.m.– 2:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT 06611. Burial is private and at the convenience of the family. Visitors are asked to wear masks and social distance as they walk through, pay their respects, and exit without lingering to ensure all guests can come through the building.
