Obituary of John J. Astolfi

John J. Astolfi, age 60, of Shelton, beloved husband of Debbie Brighindi Astolfi, passed away after a brief illness on Thursday, January 13, 2022. Born in Bridgeport on September 16, 1961, he was the son of the late Egidio and Luisa Calicchia Astolfi. John worked as a Machinist for Cad Com Inc.

John was witty, outgoing and fun loving. A great storyteller who could bring you to tears with laughter from his facial expressions and hand gestures. John loved mingling at a party going from person to person dropping a quick one liner then moving on.

John was a proud Christian man who attended church regularly and would love to talk about his faith to anyone who would listen. John loved good food, a nice glass of wine and a good old movie. Most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially his wife Debbie. The unconditional love he gave to Debbie and to all his family members are memories that will forever live in their hearts. John will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his beloved wife of 23 years, Debbie, survivors include his sisters, Linda Masone and her husband Pasquale of Shelton, Liana Masone and her husband Rick of Shelton, Lisa Tucci and her husband Daniel of Charleston SC, his brother Michael Astolfi and his wife Diane of Fairfield, his mother-in-law, Mildred Brighindi, sister-in-law, Donna Burns and her husband Kenneth, as well as several nieces, nephews and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary Church, 50 Donovan Lane, Shelton. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family at a walk-through visitation on Tuesday from 4 -7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
