Obituary of Crescenza T. Fuimara

Crescenza "Chris" (Tecca) Fuimara age 98, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on February 28, 2022. Crescenza was born in Bridgeport to the late Dominick and Mary (Garofano) Tecca. She was a graduate of Central High School, Class of 1942. Chris was married to Gregory William Fuimara on September 6, 1947. She was employed by Howland/Steinbach in Bridgeport as a Payroll Clerk for many years. Chris's greatest joy was spending time with her family and was the Best Mom ever! A favorite memory was during the winter months she would order vacation brochures and then decide as a family where to spend summer vacation. Chris was a whiz at crossword puzzles and enjoyed trips to the casino with family and friends. She loved to tend to her gardens and definitely made the best eggplant around!

Crescenza is predeceased by her husband of 49 years, Gregory W. Fuimara, who called her "his child bride." She is also predeceased by her only sister, Gabriella Piccirillo. Chris is survived by her three children, Donna Seidell (John) of Trumbull, Gregory Fuimara Jr. (Cecilia) of Voluntown, and Karen Cowan of Corpus Christi, Texas.

She was a loving Grandmother to Nathan (Christine) and Taylor Seidell, Nicholas (Kristin) and Vincent (Kasandra) Fuimara, Melissa (Chad Specht) Fuimara, April Pirrello and Colleen Mendez (Rick). In addition, 13 loving Great Grandchildren; Christian John, Brady, Wyatt, Haley, Olivia, Samantha, James, Julianna, Jack, Lilianna, Isabella, Ryleigh and Ophelia. She is also survived by loving cousins, nieces and nephews along with her brother-in-law Pat Thomas and sister-in-law Lucille Hines. We are indebted to her loving caretakers Clothild and Slandie and nurse Erica from Vitas.

Friends may greet the family on Monday, March 7, 2022 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT. A funeral procession will travel to St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow at Long Hill Cemetery on Middlebrooks Ave, Trumbull.
