I have known Kris many years from back when she was one the strongest supporters of Platt Tech’s manufacturing program, through the inception of the Advanced Manufacturing Center at HCC. Never one to mince words…blunt and direct, Kris was more than a company owner, she was invested in every aspect of the manufacturing community. She was a leader in a field not always cordial to women, possessed considerable business acumen and a true sense of future vision; always walking her talk. Beyond that, Kris was also compassionate and caring for employees and those hoping to join the ranks at Alloy Engineering. There were many occasions when, at my request, she took a hiring chance with a graduate who needed a break. Kris would help nurture and develop potential; giving many the chance to improve their lives. I always appreciated and respected her for that. Kris didn’t simply succeed…she gave back.
I extend my condolence to Sabrina and the family at this time of great loss.
