Obituary of Teresa Rauccio Tartaglia

Teresa Rauccio Tartaglia, age 83, of Shelton, beloved wife of the late Gesuele (Joseph) Tartaglia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 8, 1939 in Portico, DiCaserta, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Domenico and Alessandra Engo Rauccio.

After her retirement from the Jewish Home for the Elderly, she retired to Florida where she made many new friends. Teresa loved to spend time with her family, gardening, playing bingo, doing word search puzzles and her biggest joy was cooking for others.

Survivors include her three loving children, Anthony Tartaglia and his wife Gale, Domenic Tartaglia and his wife Susan and Carmela Tartaglia, eight cherished grandchildren, Joseph (Amy), Dana (Henry), Anthony Jr., Michael, Kristina (Mike), Robert, Jenna and Amanda, two adored great grandchildren, Magnolia and Remy, brothers, Frank, Elpidio and Andrea Rauccio, sisters, Concetta Tartaglia, Maria Hemingway, Carmela Battaglia, sister-in-law, Carmella Tartaglia Valle, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother Generoso Rauccio and toddler brother Andrea.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday December 2, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. directly in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. At Teresa's request there will be no calling hours. Arrangements entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
