Obituary of Carmella Piccioli
Carmella (Connie) Piccioli, 97, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 25, 2023, with her children beside her. She was born in Bridgeport on January 5, 1926 to Matilda and Oreste Testani. A resident of Trumbull for over 60 years, she was a devout parishioner and volunteer sacristan at Christ the King parish in Trumbull, a volunteer at St. Joseph's Manor and a member of the St. Theresa Church Angel Corps in Trumbull.
Carmella was a talented seamstress and amazing cook, and her greatest joy was eating and drinking wine with family while reminiscing about the old days "growing up Italian."
In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by the love of her life, husband Flavio Piccioli, also sister Anna Greco and brothers Joseph and Albert Testani.
She is survived by daughters Barbara Boyle and her husband Francis Boyle, Linda Kristie and her husband James Kristie; grandchildren Melissa, Sean and Colin Boyle and Brendan, Ryan and Alan Kristie; great grandchildren Tyler and Adam Boyle; brothers Dominic, Harry and Richard Testani and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. directly in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday from 4-7 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
