Maria Behn was one of the best people I have ever known. She was kind, sweet, caring, intelligent, had a beautiful smile, was a great conversationalist and I am so happy to have known her and called her my neighbor and friend. I shall miss her very much. To all of her friends and family please accept my sincerest sympathies. I picture her and Mr Behn together again and I smile. May we all smile when we think of her.

Aunt Maria was a beautiful lady with a kind heart and gently spoken. I grew up speaking to Aunt Maria and Uncle Russell on the phone, until I had the chance to meet them in person in 1990 with my oma Maria, Aunt Maria's sister in law from John. Aunt Maria was very loving and kind, and a treasured member of my family, who will be sadly missed so much. I will miss our phone calls. I take comfort in knowing that you have been reunited with Uncle Russell. Always loved and greatly missed. Your Australian neice Pamela, nephew John (dec) great neice Lorenda and family.

Maria was a much better Aunt than I was a nephew. I will always remember her soft, soothing voice and mannerism. Maria was an angel on earth. She was the perfect wife for Uncle Russ. Together, they shared a love greater than any I have known. I would like to believe they are once again together. Russ' favorite song was "Embraceable You" and Maria was his one and only "You".

To Maria's Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Maria was a wonderful lady who had a strong faith and love of her church. I believe that her faith allowed her to be independent and a strong person. I enjoyed spending time with her as so often we reminisced about her husband Russ and my Dad Lou who worked together and were neighbors in Trumbull. My Dad and I would visit with Maria and Russ at Easter for many years. Maria always had wonderful homemade goodies to nibble on and insisted on us taking some home. She was a very generous woman. Her yard in Trumbull that she maintained was filled with beautiful flowers & a small garden and her grass was always so green. I visited with her a few times when she moved to Carmel Ridge and we spoke on the phone occasionally. She did call me to say that she was moving to NC but unfortunately she never gave me her address or a phone where she could be reached. She lived a long life and I know will be missed by many but will never be forgotten. May She rest in peace. Mary
