Obituary of Patricia A. Gentile
Patricia A. Patsolic Gentile, age 87, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Joseph F. Gentile, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 15, 2023 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Clymer, PA on April 5, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Pete and Elizabeth Mriz Patsolic.
Patricia was a retired crossing guard for the City of Bridgeport, with 35 years of dedicated service. She enjoyed seeing and encouraging the children every morning. She was kind, genuine and loving to all and always treated people with love and respect.
Patricia was a dedicated and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. The unconditional love she gave and the values she taught will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her loving children, a son Joseph A. Gentile and his wife Lilian, a daughter Mary DelMastro and her husband John, five cherished grandchildren Stephen Gentile and his wife Celestina, Michael Gentile and his wife Natalie, Danielle Slowik and her husband Nick and Andrew and Nicholas DelMastro, five adored great grandchildren, Romy, Freddie, Luca, Rosilena and Santino, a sister, Betty Bevacqua of New York, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Ed, Jack, Jeannie and Mary Jane.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial celebrating Patricia's life on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 11:00 a.m.at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Road, Trumbull. Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Padre Pio Foundation of America, 463 Main Street, Cromwell, CT 06416-2018.
