Obituary of James LeClerc
James LeClerc, Sr., age 78, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, a retired self-employed painter, died Thursday, October 14, 2004 in Broward Medical Center after a long illness. Born and raised in Plattsburgh, NY, he was one of thirteen children, and was a World War II U. S. Marine Corps veteran and a proud recipient of the Purple Heart. Mr LeClerc was an avid golfer and formerly resided in Fairfield before moving to Florida over 15 years ago. Survivors include his wife, Virginia LeClerc of Fort Lauderdale, a son, James LeClerc, Jr. of Fairfield, a daughter, Arlene Saracin of Wisconsin, his former wife, Anne Gambino LeClerc of Fairfield, six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Friends can greet the family members at a memorial gathering that will take place on Sunday, October 17, 2004 at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull from 3 - 6 p.m.
