Obituary of Robert M. Garber

Robert M. Garber, age 83, of Shelton, beloved husband of the late Phyllis Verrilli Garber, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2023, with his loving family by his side. Born in Bridgeport on May 23, 1940, he was a son of the late Emil and Josephine Criscione Garber.

Bob cherished his family, including his aunts, uncles and cousins and worked to stay connected with family. For Bob, a perfect day was one spent with his family.

Survivors include three loving children, a son, Robert M. Garber Jr. and his wife Catherine, two daughters, Elisa Garber and Michele Garber-Solomon and her husband, Ricky, seven grandsons, Emmett, Zak and Max Garber, Will, Rob and Daniel Solomon and Jacob Garber, an adored great granddaughter, Ivy, two brothers, George Garber and Dennis Garber and his wife Geraldine, a sister, Linda Konecny and her husband Len, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, October 2, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. directly in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton. Interment will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Sunday, October 1, 2023 from 1 – 4 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
