Obituary of William F. Bepko

William F. Bepko, “Tippy”, age 69 of Monroe, beloved husband of Judy (Cocca) Bepko, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2023 in his home with his loving wife and children by his side. William was born on October 2, 1954 in Bridgeport to Robert J. Bepko Sr. (Helen) and the late Virginia R. Reinwald Bepko. He is predeceased by his brother-in-law, Robert Cocca “Cocco”. William attended Kolbe High School, then later graduated with his bachelor’s degree from Southern Connecticut University in 1976. He was a long-time employee of Gway Graphics, working alongside his boss and long-time friend, David Cudiner.

William was the anchor of his family, and his legacy will be carried on with dignity and strength through his children, Megan and Kevin Lahar of Newburgh, NY, Michelle of Branford, Michael of Monroe and McKenzie Bepko of Milford. He was the greatest Papa ever to his grandchildren Taigan, Landon, and Brixton. William also leaves behind his siblings, Robert J. Bepko Jr. (Margie) of Milford, Debra Bepko Hobson (Wayne) of Shelton, Jerry Bepko (Christine) of Monroe, and Douglas Bepko of Shelton. He will continue to be remembered by his extended family including many nieces and nephews.

Being an avid New York sports fan, Tippy loved going to Yankee games. His favorite seats were in section 203 in the bleacher section. He loved to rally with the “bleacher creatures.” He loved watching the Giants play. His dream came true when he went to Super Bowl XLII and watched the Giants beat the Patriots! Something else Tip loved was watching the horse races (the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness and the Belmont). He did a crazy dance when cheering on his horses!!  Tippy loved to travel the world. One of his favorite places was fishing in Costa Rica. He loved shopping for new clothes and had a sneaker obsession. Every time he came home, he’d have a brand-new pair of sneakers (or two). He enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren with shopping sprees. His family was his pride and joy, and his favorite pastimes included going on his annual family vacation to Misquamicut Beach, camping, cooking, and entertaining. Tippy was always the life of the party! He loved dancing and singing to the Jackson Five. His laugh was so contagious that you couldn’t help but laugh when he was around! If you ever needed Tip on a Saturday, you knew exactly where to find him…on his lawn mower. He loved a good “mow”. The countless memories made with Tippy will be forever cherished by his friends and family.
