Obituary of Patricia Meehan Washburn

Patricia Meehan Washburn, age 100, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Donald C. Washburn, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 27, 2023 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Bridgeport on October 12, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Frances Buchanan Meehan.

Patricia was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed her role as a homemaker, and caring for her family was her primary goal and greatest joy. She will be deeply missed by all.

Patricia was an involved and wonderful mother to her children, Carol A. Iassogna and her husband Ralph of Shelton, Mary Alice Leone and her husband Michael of Stratford, Raymond E. Washburn and his wife Norma of Palmyra, VA, and Robert H. Washburn and his wife Christine of Saint George, ME. Her 14 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren were her pride and joy. She loved them with all her heart, and they loved her back. She also leaves several nieces and nephews.

Patricia was predeceased by her siblings and their spouses, Frank G. Meehan and wife Marian, Lawrence M. Meehan and wife Elizabeth, Albert M. Meehan and wife Mary, and Anna E. Meehan.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. directly in St. Theresa's Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
