Obituary of Debra Ann Kinsman
Debra Ann Miakos Kinsman, age 68, of Trumbull, beloved wife of Douglas Kinsman Sr., passed away peacefully on Monday, November 20, 2023 with her loving family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on March 26, 1955, she was a daughter of Patricia McCall Miakos of Bridgeport and the late Nicholas Miakos Jr.
Debra earned her 6th year degree from Southern Connecticut state University and was a former special education teacher for the City of Bridgeport at Roosevelt School. She was dedicated to the care and education of all the students and proudly ran a Christmas Coat Drive to help all the children in need. She was also the owner of Sweet Annie & Co.
But above all things, she was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt. She truly enjoyed spending time with her family creating memories to last a lifetime. She was at her best when her grandchildren were by her side, her smile could light up the room. The unconditional love she gave and the memories created will forever live in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her beloved husband of 45 years, Douglas, and her mother, Patricia, survivors include her three loving children, Douglas Kinsman Jr and his wife Alicia, Daniel Kinsman and his wife Dale and Nichole Kinsman, six cherished grandchildren, Dougie III, Manny, Vida, Patrick, Rory and Lena, a brother, Nicholas Miakos III and his wife Gina, sisters, Pamela Miakos and her wife Sharon, Theresa Altan and her husband Mike and Dolores Mason and her husband Steve, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Francis "Frank" Miakos.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
