To all who loved Richard as a husband, father, brother, grand and great grand father, uncle, cousin or friend. As a cousin to the Bouffard family, my memories go back decades to when we were all children gathering at our Meme and Pepe's house on a Sunday afternoon or when our parents would do a "kid swap" during the summer and I would spend a week with my Bouffard cousins. Richard was the eldest of the 38 cousins and he always seemed to sense a responsibility to watch out for the others. He was usually the quietest of the nine siblings, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't get involved in some of the shenanigans we dreamt up. As adults I would usually only see Richard at family reunions. That quiet demeanor persisted, but so did his willingness to join in. I have a vivid memory of him during the last big reunion giving it his all in a sack race, taking quite a tumble but getting up to finish with a smile on his face. Loosing a family member is so hard, but I hope your celebration of his life brings you a sense of joy, appreciation and a bit of peace. Cousin Lynn (Garrigus) Lynch
