Obituary of Janet Marie Jackson

Janet Marie Jackson, age 78, of Bridgeport, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 11, 2023 in the comfort of her home. Born in Bridgeport on October 19, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mildred Hanson Macy. She graduated from Andrew Warde High School in Fairfield. After a successful career as a bookkeeper, she retired from Robert E. Dains CPA, CFP.

Janet's belief in the dignity of all people was firm in her heart. Her quick wit and warm smile will be missed by her many friends she enjoyed spending time with. Her legacy lives on in her grandson, Jackson Brown, whom she adored, doted on, and considered her greatest gift.

Survivors include her loving and devoted daughter Marisa Jackson (Paul Brown) and her cherished and adored grandson Jackson Brown, as well as many dear friends. She was predeceased by her beloved life partner William Moore.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Thursday, December 21, 2023 from 5 – 7 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Bridgeport Rescue Mission.
