Obituary of Margaret C. Gay

Margaret C. (Spinelli) Gay, age 89, of Huntington, beloved wife of the late Bruce Gay, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December, 16, 2023 at her home. Born in Bridgeport on November 2, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Margaret Julia (Toaso) Spinelli and was a longtime resident of Huntington.

Margaret had a passion for bird watching and loved anything to do with owls. She was an avid gardener and her African violets were her pride and joy. When she wasn't in the garden she enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Her life was all about her family; she loved them all dearly and devoted herself to be there and help in any way possible. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her.

Survivors include her five loving children, Timothy Gay (Cheryl), Stephanie Heisler (Mark), Thomas Gay (Linda), Sonny Gay (Tara), and Andrew Gay, a sister, Patricia Capano, ten grandchildren, Bruce, Jennifer, Stephen, Sara, Elizabeth, Christine, Ryan, Joshua, Tatum and Lindsey and five great grandchildren, Bruce, Ava, Olivia, Mason and Harper as well as several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
