Obituary of Lucy Ann Ricco

Lucy Ann Ricco (Toto) passed peacefully surrounded by family on Wednesday, January 3, 2024. She was born in 1923 to Carolina and William Toto in the Yorkville Section of Manhattan. She attended Julia Richman High School and after graduation worked for the New York Foundling Hospital. In 1946 she married Nicholas Ricco and moved to Astoria where she lived and worked for 69 years. She worked at the Bulova Watch Company and was office manager for a local dental office. She raised two daughters, Renee and Donna and was an active member of St. Joseph's Parish until she moved to Connecticut in 2015.

Lucy is predeceased by her parents, William and Carolina Toto, her loving husband, Nicholas and daughter, Renee; survived by her daughter, Donna Parisi (John), granddaughters Dana DeLuca (Rocky), and Nicole Parchue (Adam) and great grandsons, Rocco John and Aeon John.

Lucy loved caring for her family and enjoyed many lifetime friendships. Her hobbies included gardening, sewing, needlework, playing games, baking and sharing recipes with family and friends. Lucy loved to dance especially the Lindy with Nickie.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the loving care Lucy received at Mozaic Senior Life. Especially the staff of Tandet House and Hospice Care whose compassion and dedication to making her comfortable was very much appreciated.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Rd., Trumbull. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in St. Raymond's Cemetery, Bronx, NY. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
