Obituary of Lucille M. DePeano

Lucille Marinaccio DePeano, age 93, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Albert L. DePeano, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 13, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.   Born in Harrison, NY on November 5, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Philip and Giovannina Vecciola Marinaccio. She grew up on the east side of Bridgeport and resided in Trumbull for 57 years where she raised her family. Lucille was a 1949 graduate of Warren Harding High School, she went on to work as an executive secretary at Sikorsky Aircraft for 16 years. While raising her family, she worked at Middlebrook Elementary School as a cafeteria aide, where she was fondly known as Mrs. D. Lucille was a long-time dedicated member of the Christian Assembly Church in Stratford, where she held the position of treasurer for many decades. She also enjoyed working closely with the children of the church, teaching Sunday school and running Vacation Bible School camps.

Lucille was the life of the party, she enjoyed singing, dancing and hosting holidays, but her most favorite time was spent with immediate and extended family. She was best known for making a special connection with and spreading love to everyone she met.

McArdle and her husband John of South Glastonbury, three cherished grandchildren, Stefanie, Allison and John Albert, a brother, Leonard Marinaccio and his wife Loretta of West Haven, sister-in-law, Eleanor DePeano of Milford, as well as several cherished nieces and nephews who she treated like her own.

In addition to her husband Al, she was predeceased by a brother, Frank Marinaccio and his wife Rose, two sisters, Antoinette Capalbo and her husband Joseph and Mary Jane Walker and her husband Mickey, two brothers in law, Angelo Charles DePiano and John DePeano, and a sister-in-law, Lonarda Litzie and her husband John.
