Obituary of Joyce A. Lape

Joyce A. Dellaca Lape, age 83, of Rhode Island, beloved wife of the late Richard A. Lape, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 16, 2024 with her loving family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on April 11, 1940, she was a daughter of the late George and Mary Lattanzi Dellaca.

Joyce will be remembered as a natural caregiver. She was a certified therapy dog handler who enjoyed jigsaw puzzles and playing cornhole. She looked forward to socializing with her friends and neighbors during wine time.

Survivors include her three children, John Everett, Colleen Stanley and her husband Bill and Kelly Michaud and her husband Pierre, two step-daughters, Penny Fredrick and her husband Shane and Peggy Lape, eight grandchildren, John Everett, Taylor Druschel, Bill Jr., Jack, Josh and Matthew Stanley and Cloe and Alex Michaud, step-grandchildren, Julie and Lisa Fredrick and Emily Sanchez, 13 great grandchildren, a sister, Janice Mayo and her husband John, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by siblings, George Dellaca and Vera Klupsak.

Funeral services will take place on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, CT. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday from 4 – 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
