Obituary of Madelyn A. Cocco
Madelyn A. (Prusaczyk) Cocco, age 80, of Bridgeport, the beloved wife of the late Michael P. Cocco, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2024 at her residence surrounded by her devoted sons. Born in Bridgeport on January 21, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Bruce and Catherine Prusaczyk and was a retired employee of St. Vincent Medical Center with over 25 years of dedicated service. Her greatest enjoyment was found in the time she spent surrounded by her family. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend of many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her two loving sons, Michael Cocco of Bridgeport and Anthony Cocco and his wife Sarah of Brookfield, a granddaughter, Alexis Cocco of North Carolina, her step grandchildren, Camden and Tatum Cocker of Fairfield, her niece, Maryann Birch of Oxford and her nephew, Fred Bellavance of Bridgeport. She was predeceased by her sister-in-law, Palma Bellavance.
A Memorial Service will take place on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, www.stjude.org.
