Obituary of Madeline M. Eicas

Madeline "Maddie" Eicas, age 72, of Trumbull passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 27, 2024 at Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the beloved wife of Paul M. Eicas. Born in Bridgeport on April 16, 1952, she was a daughter of the late Peter J. and Pauline (Massaria) Veccharelli, Sr. Mrs. Eicas had attended Notre Dame High School prior to her graduation from Central High in Bridgeport. She then obtained her bachelor's degree in nursing from Western CT State College in 1970 and went on to spend her entire career in pediatrics at Norwalk Hospital, where she made may friendships and touched many lives along the way. She enjoyed vacationing throughout the country with her husband, however, her greatest enjoyment was found in the time she spent surrounded by her loving family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored. A loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend of many. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In addition to her devoted husband Paul, of nearly 50 years, other survivors include her loving daughters, Jennifer Chaffee and her husband Mike of Shelton and Kimberly Frithsen and her husband Chris of Norwood, MA, her cherished grandchildren, Tyler and Thomas Frithsen and Michael Chaffee, Jr., her sisters, Ann Veccharelli of Lancaster, CA and Joan Domack of Monroe, her brother, Peter J. Veccharelli, Jr. and his wife Candie of Sherrills Ford, NC, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins, too numerous to mention.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, May 6, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. directly in St. Theresa Church, 5301 Main St., Trumbull. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Friends may greet the family on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
