Truly a kind and generous person; that was my Aunt Pearl, my father's "little" sister. When I was a child the relatives used to say I looked like her. It was a wonderful compliment--if only it were true--because she was beautiful in every way. She and Uncle Andre came to visit me in Manhattan after I had some very serious surgery, and it meant so much to have a family member there since my husband Phil and I lived in Wilmington, DE at the time. I wish we had lived closer to one another and had the opportunity to know each other better. Unaware of your passing, Aunt Pearl, I purchased some lovely plants for our garden that day. They are called "Stairway to Heaven." Little did I know you were on your way. A coincidence? In any event I will always think of you now as I watch them grow.
