Obituary of James P. Reinwald
James P. Reinwald, age 81, of Trumbull passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 26, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Emma Cicchiello Reinwald. Born in Bridgeport on April 23, 1943, he was a son of the late William and Helen Plower Reinwald. A proud member of the first graduating class of Notre Dame of Fairfield, James later joined the National Guard and built many lasting friendships. His love for the water and boating was satisfied aboard his vessel known as "JEM II" and he was also a longtime member of the Harbor Valley Yacht Club, where he was referred to as "Pinky". A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend of many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
In addition to his beloved wife Emma of 58 years, other survivors include his devoted children, James Reinwald, Michael Reinwald and Jill Lenkarski and her husband Paul, his cherished grandchildren, who lovingly called him "Beanie", Gunnar Reinwald and Paul and Gage Lenkarski, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sisters, Virginia Bepko and Mary Matthews and brothers, Harry and William Reinwald.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. directly in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave., Trumbull. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
