Obituary of Thaddeus R. Borowy

Thaddeus R. “Ted” Borowy, age 88, of Trumbull passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at Bridgeport Hospital surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Lucille (Sisbarro) Ouellette Borowy. Born in Bridgeport on September 8, 1935, he was a son of the late Henry and Pauline (Ruda) Borowy. Ted was employed by the former General Electric of Bridgeport, where he had worked as a tool and die maker for over 35 years before his retirement. He was an active member of the Shelton Senior Center, where he built many lasting friendships. Ted was very health conscious with his daily regimen of exercise. He also enjoyed ballroom dancing with his wife and she will cherish the memories they created while taking numerous trips together all over the world. A loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend of many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.  

In addition to his beloved wife Lucille of 24 years, other survivors include his loving children, James Borowy and his wife Allison of New Hampshire, Deborah Wright and her husband Bob of Melbourne, FL, Marc Ouellette and his girlfriend Laurette of Seymour and John Ouellette and his wife Kristy of Stratford, his cherished grandchildren, Alyssa Borowy, David Borowy and his wife Emily, Chad Ouellette, Jordan Ouellette, Eric Bexfield and his wife Stephnie and Leo Wright and his wife Robyn, his devoted sister-in-law, Carol Zajac and her husband Daniel of Stratford, as well as several nieces and nephews, too numerous to mention. He was predeceased by his brothers, Henry and Steven Borowy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 3, 2024 at 9:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Shelton Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may greet the family on Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull.
