I am so sorry to hear about Dr. Al's death. He was a past president of Friends of Laurelwood Arboretum and a highly regarded advisor to our Rhododendron Study Team. I have fond memories of a holiday party hosted by Mildred at their Caldwell, NJ home. What amazing gardens he created there! We will all remember him as a warm, enthusiastic, wise and knowledgeable man with boundless energy. Sincerest sympathey to Mildred and all the family.
