My name is William Soto (Bill). I own the home across the street (135 Jewett) from Joe & Lee. I want to express my deepest, heartfelt and sincere condolences to the Cavaliere family and specifically to Lee, who would often offer to share ice cream with me. Joe & Lee were one of the first people I met when I first purchased my house and they were so warm and welcoming. I specifically remember Joe looked at me and in a firm proud vibrant voice he tells me, “I’m 93 years old”. The following year he made sure he again shared his age, “I’m 94 years old”. I want to share that physically Joe may have felt his age, what with all the ailments he dealt with on a daily basis; BUT HIS MIND WAS AS SHARP AS A TACK !!!!! He always told me that everything went downhill after he retired and stopped working at 80 or 81 years of age. Joe had a way of making a person feel comfortable around him. To see him come and go in his van, for his age, was amazing. And Lee, at your age, you’re no slouch either. God bless you!!! The idea that you were married in the same year I was born (1953) just fascinates me. In closing I just want to say that the small sample I had of Joe’s personality and friendship was amazing. And in talking to Bob and Sue I know that he was loved immensely by friends and family members alike. YOU WERE UNIQUE JOE AND KNOWING YOU WAS A BLESSING !!!!!! Rest in peace

Dear Lee,
We were so lucky to have met such a wonderful couple through our neighbors Jean and Guido. We were then blessed to have your company at George's Hill (sharing yearbook memories with our mom) and church fairs (Joe giving rides up the hill). Joe made us smile! Cherish all your wonderful memories.
With love and prayers to you and your family, wishing you peace.

Lee, Bobby and Patty and the entire Cavaliere family, I am so deeply sorry to hear of your father's passing. Joe was a kind and funny man who always had the best stories and jokes. I used to have my car serviced at Grand Garage, that is how I met Bobby, and I went to school with Patty at ND. I am a cousin of the Rizzitelli's and they always brought their cars there. I remember being there and Joe was the best around.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this very difficult time.

From the Cholewinski kids we are sad about the loss our Uncle Joe passing. My wife Gloria and I have been blessed
to have the last few visits we have had to be together. He taught me i can walk backwards, and he was always ready with a joke.
To the entire family let his peace be our peace

Lee and family, I am so very sorry for your loss. Joe seems to have lived his life very well lived. Always great seeing him (and you Lee). The Cavaliere family tree book you made is such a beautiful tribute to the family and will be a great storybook in remembrance to all the Cavaliere's. Take comfort that my papa Vincent Cavaliere, nonna Evelyn, Uncle Joe, Uncle Frank, Uncle Fonzie, Aunt Lil and many more, will be there with open arms for Joe. I am almost certain he is telling jokes in heaven. xo

Dear Lee and family, we are so very sorry for your loss. Our hearts hurt for you all. I have so many fond memories of Joe from growing up and visiting our grandparents and aunts. He loved to tell his jokes. He was always there to come say hello to us when we pulled into the driveway. I remember Easter brunch and chatting in the kitchen. You are all in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.
