I got to know Charlie when he serviced my dad’s car washes over 40 yrs ago. Charlie was way more than an electrician to the Shullman Family. He was a dear friend to my father Richard. I always enjoyed my time around Charlie. He always shared his knowledge, experience, and made me laugh. My deepest condolences to Charle’s family. John Shullman

I couldn’t believe this news when I heard it. You were like an uncle to me. I truly think of you as family. I’ll never forget that long weekend we spent at your home, the music box with the ballerina you and Maggie gave me, the fun playing in the tree house in the backyard. I’ll never other that night we went for sushi (note: my first sushi experience) in Arizona. They had tanks of different fish. You asked me which one was the biggest. I pointed to a giant goldfish. You said, “To bad for him.” I responded with a look of confusion. You simply stated “He’ll be the dinner tonight.” My look became one of horror. Your simple response was, “Where do you think they get all the fish for dinner from?” Later on that night in the car I told my mom and dad that we ate the fish from the tanks and that’s why there were so big. They just started cracking up and told me you were joking around. I’m surprised I didn’t become a vegan that day. I know one day I’ll see you again. You’ll be making everyone around you laugh with your jest and wit. Sending my thoughts to the entire family and community. Your soul touched so many.
